    Adios XP-20

You treated me right for the last 4 1/2 years, but off to a new home next week. Take care of your new owner.

Congratulations, Bud. BTW, my Revelation Audio umbilical is split into two cords not a single cord like yours in the photo. They must be of a different generation.

DualConduit cables are newer and more advanced... "augmenting isolation and separation of the the crucial analog power supply voltages in a dedicated separate discreet conduit from the digital control signals within the cable".

Thank you Sandman. My Revelation Audio umbilical is on my Pass XP-25 phono. I will compare that combination to the new XP-27 phono with its new umbilical when it is released.

The new Pass umbilicals are made in house by Pass. They are significantly better than the old type DB-25 computer cables that came with the previous generation preamps. If you order new you can request the umbilical be longer or shorter than standard.

And in case you were wondering, Revelation Audio does offer an upgrade to the new generation umbilicals as well (though not shown on their website at this time) - based on their Precept II power cable but with the respective Neutrik PowerCon connectors. I have two pairs of them as the XS300's need one each and the XS Pre needs two. Highly recommended!

Resolution Acoustics or Revelation Audio? The former looks like an acoustics products manufacturer. I found my dual conduit cable on the website. I will first live with the XP22/XP27 for a while before I think about upgrading the umbilical cords. The Revelation Audio cords are so stiff that they are difficult to use behind my rack and one of the connector nuts on the back of my phono actually broke off when I tried to move the cable. The new Pass umbilicals are nice and flexible.

Ha, Revelation Audio. Sorry for the error. I have Resolution Acoustics room treatments as well and I mixed up the names.
