    Re: ARC REF3 Phono Review

Would love to hear it. really liked the Ref2 phono. I still see ARC are persisting with one ground terminal for two inputs - would it be that difficult to add another

    Re: ARC REF3 Phono Review

Sorry, but i would like to hear from you guys that has way more experience than i have, i heard ARC Ref.6 Pre and ARC Ref.150 with Wilson Audio Sasha 2 and Sabrina, what amazed me was the huge soundstage both in heigh and depth / width , is that because the ARC is making that huge 3D soundstage or is it a combination of ARC and Wilson audio ?
Or is there other Pre and amp combination with Wilson Audio who can make the same huge 3d Soundstage ?
And i didn't mean to hijack the thread

I believe its the ARC pre amp. I had a REF 5SE and it exhibited similar sonic traits in soundtage that you mention . I found it unnatural and it was slow in pace and rhythm. I sold it and kept my much better sounding cj GAT.

    YMMV.

Added a REF3 Phono to the REF10 Phono in the store. Gorgeous piece. Can’t wait to give it a listen.

Indeed it may, Whilst auditioning for a new pre my shortlist pared down to CJ GAT and ARC REF 10 Valved Vs Dag Momentum Pre and Dart 18NS SS.

The GAT didn't make it through to the final round for exactly the same sonic traits that you attributed of the REF5se.

At the end of the day I went with the ARC Ref10 altho it was a very close run thing.
