    Qobuz Sublime+

For those who have a Qobuz Sublime+ subscription, Lumin app 6.0.9 displays a Hi-Res logo for the Hi-Res albums.

    http://www.qobuz.com/gb-en/plans/mus...g-subscription

    Please note that:

    1. Qobuz classifies any 24-bit music as Hi-Res, so 24/44.1 is also Hi-Res.

    2. Owing to licensing restrictions, a few Hi-Res albums available for purchase from Qobuz may become 16/44.1 during streaming.

    3. Owing to licensing restrictions, a few Hi-Res albums may not be allowed to stream at all. These are meant for you to purchase from Qobuz via Qobuz website or Qobuz app.

I'm curious about Qobuz, particularly about their 24 bit streaming. Unfortunately, they don't offer a trial for Sublime, so there is no way to test the HiRes streaming quality without buying a 1 year subscription.

I really like that the Qobuz Sublime+ offers good discounts on HiRes downloads, along with HiRes streaming.

But I need to know how the 24 bit streaming compares to local NAS 24 bit files, local NAS 16 bit files, etc. before
committing to a 1 year membership and giving up the excellent Tidal/Roon interface! (Qobuz has frustratingly refused
to join up with Roon, btw).

Wklie, have you heard/compared the SQ of the Qobuz 24 bit streaming?

    Thanks

    Re: Qobuz Sublime+

Question on the Lumin app with Qobuz: I want to organize selected music favorites by ARTIST > ALBUMS. I like to keep it very simple with only the album artwork and name showing under the Artist (as it is in the main part of the app). Is there a direct way to accomplish through the app or must one do this in the Qobuz desktop app and then log in- -log out of the Lumin app for changes to show there?

    Thanks

    Re: Qobuz Sublime+

Assuming Qobuz Sublime+ streams the same files as purchases (and I believe they are), you may perhaps consider buying a few to check out their quality first, but I guess it’s mostly album dependent. Reportedly some albums have discount pricing now:

Based on forum reports I’ve come across, Sublime+ subscribers are mostly happy with it, but I also read a few different opinion with purchases of particular albums. Do note that not all available hi-res albums can be streamed to every country - some are for purchase only.

If you’re asking about how to add a Qobuz album to favorite, please tap and hold the album art of a Qobuz album in Lumin app, then choose Add to Favorite. If for some reason Lumin app is not showing the latest status of your favorites, you can tap the Qobuz folder navigation button [in the figure below, the rectangular button near the center, labeled as Qobuz bold text, not the one in green] to the top-level “Qobuz”, and tap it for a second time at the top-level “Qobuz”.

I'm don't think further organization is possible under the favorites in the Lumin app, but I'll need to recheck this.

    Re: Qobuz Sublime+

Peter, I see that this works for adding Favorites albums, but what I would like to have is a single listing for an Artist, and then within that, have multiple albums. So when I go to the Favorites page I won't for instance see 5 Joni Mitchell albums, rather I'll see a single listing for Joni Mitchell which I can click on to open listings for those 5 albums. Is that workable with the Lumin app?

    Thanks

Please try Linn Kazoo app or Bubble DS Next app to see whether their UI serves your requirements.
