I had purchased the USB regen. Elegant little device though to this day I'm not sure I could hear any improvement in any of the 3 systems I tried it with...hmmm...there are those who swear by it though.

In any case I am eager to hear the reviews come in but am not inclined to purchase without knowing what it will do in any of my systems.

Yes I am open minded but also feel like most of us who have top grade gear and cabling that yet one more tweak does not necessarily constitute an improvement, perhaps a change.

In any case, it'll be fun to see/read the comments and reviews as they come... thank you!

    Re: New ISO REGEN

I have heard the Regen in 4 different systems including 2 of my own. It makes a noticeable difference. It is clearly DAC dependent looking at user reviews. I have also heard it with a good linear power supply. This further improved the sound-blacker back ground, a little more detail and resolution.

I am very interested in reading user reviews on the ISO Regen. It is cheap for $350 but I think that what made the Regen Amber so appealing was the $175 cost for budget minded people (not the typical Audio Shark Members).

    Re: New ISO REGEN

I liked the Regen on my Trinity DAC, but not on my Lampi DAC. That said, I'm a firm believer in those gizmos - in my current system I have both the Intona USB isolator and Wyred 4 Sound Recovery USB reclocker. That make a very noticable and positive difference. The new ISO Regen is said to integrate those two.

I also have UpTone Audio JS-2 PSU and two LPS-1 PSUs - both great products, I cannot recommend them highly enough. The LPS-1 makes a huge difference on sonore microRendu and SOtM SMS-200. I use the JS-2 to power both LPS-1s, which in turn power my Jcat Femto card and Wyred 4 Sound Recovery USB reclocker.

I have the ISO Regen on order.

Please let me know what effect this has with your Lampi.

    New ISO REGEN

Just want to add that not only USB, connection like SPDIF/BNC/toslink also benefited from de-jittering and reclocking. I use Empirical Audio Synchromesh (BNC/toslink in, BNC out - 2 inputs 1 output) and Dynamo LPS for my media player and AppleTV to great results.

    Re: New ISO REGEN

I hear a very noticeable improvement with the Wyred 4 Sound Recovery between my server and DAC. I also use the W4S Remedy to reclock and upconvert the coax signal for Redbooks. Very big difference!

The Regens were all used with a computer and the same version of Bug Head music player. It only works with usb input.

I had the Regen amber and it made an improvement when I was using my MacBook Pro as my source thu USB.

I read the description of this device and it does seem to be more targetted towards the source device, i.e. laptop?
