I use Crystal Cable Absolute Dream (Both IC & SC) on my Magico S5.Mk2, very transparent, netural and even sounding. I'm pleased with the combination.

Re: Magico Owners - What Cables Are You Using?

Aren't "networked cables" just expensive tone controls ? Shouldn't the goal of a cable to be transfer the signal without distortion from point a to b?

Then again Wilson uses transparent as their cable of choice and Magico uses MIT in their factory listening rooms. To my knowledge at least and from what I've read and seen pictures of those Rooms.

Re: Magico Owners - What Cables Are You Using?

Doing a bit of market research Mike? With Magico I like PAD's latest generation Anniversary wire which is less dark & better balanced than the previous generation, as well as Siltech Royal Signature and Crown series. But in my system I use Jorma Prime xlr's & pc's, and Jorma Statement sc's. Jorma sounds neutral (Statement) to a bit warm (Prime), natural/organic, smooth, liquid, resolving, harmonically rich & well balanced top to bottom. Keepers for sure.

Im surprised at the lack of "network cables" such as transparent and MIT with magico owners here. I think I counted 1 for Transparent and 0 for MIT

Re: Magico Owners - What Cables Are You Using?

Sure, I'm using Furutech Alpha Nano AG-AU FP S35N bulk power cord cable with CF-201 spades. They were made by a popular Furutech guy. He's been mentioned on this forum a few times. They have added a certain "sweetness" and depth that I haven't had with other cables. I've had many different brands in a few different systems. These are my favorite thus far. Additionally, I can't wrap my head around speaker cables costing $5,000 and many much higher. Dollar for dollar, the best "bang for the buck" I've experienced. I think Furutech quality is spectacular.

Re: Magico Owners - What Cables Are You Using?

Yes, I thought the same. At the time when mine were made, they did not have alpha nano treated speaker cables. It was suggested to me by the gentleman who made them. He has never steered me wrong. From what I hear, there is such current demand for the cable, it is very difficult to keep in stock…..

I have the heaviest gauge alpha nano , which I believe is 10 gauge going into a custom TP-609 distributor with a NCF inlet and 3 NCF double outlets. Check your PMs.

Nice...I use Crystal Cable Ultra Diamond, I can't afford Absolute Dream. I'm curious at your choice of cable for that speaker, particularly when you might have gone for a lesser cable with M3 for the same total investment.

I have been using the Absolute Dream for a long time now, I traded them in from my Crystal Dreamline Plus I was using, my dealer phoned me up and said he has secondhand Absolute Dream at a special price - so I got them for a very good price. I would not have been able to afford them otherwise, specially if they were brand new. I had them even before my Magico S5.Mk2, so the M3 were a few years away.
