    USB From PC to Amplifier.

    Hi guys.

I got a question for ya.

I use a USB cable from my PC to my amplifier, as i find it very convenient, while exploring new music.

Does it have any effect performance wise if you plug your USB into a USB 1 / 2.0 / 3.0?

By that i mean, if the different USB versions has any difference !

I use the DAC which is integrated in my amplifier.

I don't know if this is a stupid question or not.

Use USB 2.0 port for (usually) best compatibility with USB DAC.

Okay! Simply because most DAC's are not compatible with the newer version? Theoretically the 3.0 should be better i guess?

USB 2.0 is the best fro audio. It should work through USB 3.0 or 3.1 but there is extra circuit there that have no benefits for the audio signal and in some ways, I have heard, can actually cause issues. USB 1.0 should not be used for audio.
