    Studer back from sick bay

My Studer 810 came back today after being in sick bay for over 6 months. I bought this 810 for a crazy good price, but I knew it would need a major overhaul.

Flux heads installed. External outputs. There was a complete overhaul done (see pictures for detailed list).

A big thanks to John French, Bruce J. Borgerson and Nick Doshi for such an amazing job! Worth the wait!!!

The sound, combined with the Doshi 3.0 Tape Preamp is out of this world!

Nice! What a great tune up. Wow.
Have to second the praise for John French and Nick Doshi. They have both done fantastic work for me as well.

Keep an eye on the rechargeable battery soldered on the controller card. It always worries me. If it goes flat, you lose the configuration. If it leaks, it can cause damage.

Best to keep power running through the deck to maintain charge.

I would like to look into a non-soldered mod in the future.

Life is approx 5 years I'm told.
