    Sennheiser HD800S Questions/Suggestions

Just a couple quick questions on the HD800S...

Anyone know why Sennheiser suggests hanging up the cable after use the first few days, afterwards loose coiling for storage is fine?

Does anyone store the headphones in the really nice storage box that is included, or do you simply hang them on a stand?

After first night listening to them, so far I am very impressed...

I have the HD800 not the "S" and they just either lay on the desk or hang on a little stand. I haven't found any magic letting the cables rest.

Randy......I agree with Chris. I leave my cable draped around the desk behind my computer monitor and leave the HD800 hang on my converted banana hanger/headphone stand. I don't see any sense in plugging and unplugging the cable from the headphone and the amplifier every time I wish to enjoy them.

    Re: Sennheiser HD800S Questions/Suggestions

Thanks for the input guys. I thought it was odd that they had that in their manual. I think they were basically saying the first few days.... I could not come up with any reason other than maybe it might straighten the cable from whatever bends, etc., that may have gotten in the cable during shipping.

The storage box is pretty nice, but does seem a tad inconvenient. I will probably end up just hanging them on a headphone stand...
