Great! After purchasing a TT, having access to vinyl is really important.

No wonder the majors love vinyl again

trouble is their high prices and issues with some US pressing plant quality issues may turn people off as quickly as they have arrived.

I would say the majority sold would be to people who want to just enjoy their music.
At least for me it is.

If they are buying vinyl they already care about sound quality, otherwise MP3's would have sufficed. Talk to the kids buying entry level tables and vinyl and they know the difference between nasty MP3's and vinyl.

I know a lot of people who are picking up Crosley's and the like to play their new vinyl through. I think it's as much if not more about the tangibility and personal connection with the medium/artist than sound quality. In this day and age buying a bands record feels a lot like buying their poster to me. Something to show to people, something to look at and display.

That's certainly my wife's 24 year old son and all of his friends. When I was working on the review of the Simaudio ACE amp with built in DAC, one of his hipster buddies gave me a lecture about how "if I knew anything about music, I'd know that vinyl sounded WAY better than digital." All three of these experts had Crosley's.
