Re: Easy/Painless Way To Switch Between Amps ??
So I purchased two pair of Cardas Banana to Spade Adapters along with Wireworld Uni-Term banana ends for my cables. This "shouldn't" affect sound quality any as the Cardas adapters are rhodium plated...

Re: Easy/Painless Way To Switch Between Amps ??
I like the idea of a connector like the Speakon. The thing is, my speaker cables are too pricey to have two pair so I need to use the same set to go between the two sets of amps.
And now that... -

Re: Easy/Painless Way To Switch Between Amps ??
So how exactly would switching to bananas solve this problem? The connectors on the ends of my Wilson Alexx's don't have terminals that support bananas, only spades. And the same goes for the ends on...

Easy/Painless Way To Switch Between Amps ??
I'm looking for a relatively painless way to switch between two different sets of amps that doesn't degrade sound quality. Some kind of quick connect end that would work with my WireWorld Platinum...

RE the Lumin: Think it will drive Nautilus 802's (original Nautilus series not the Matrix) ok? The reviews are great. Looks like a nice unit that meets all my needs. Just a bit concerned about power?...

Looking up on the Lumin as we speak. Thanks. Also, has anyone head the Line Magnetic Audio LM-518IA? I've been toying with tubes and this one keeps coming up. The warm up period and cool down period...

Re: Looking for Reasonably Priced Integrated Amp For Nautilus 802's - Recommendations Please
I mean integrated Amp...possibly one that has a built-in DAC that is "Roon Ready" and performs RAAT Streaming - my example of the M10 is what I'm talking about. I don't want just a Roon Ready DAC...

Looking for Reasonably Priced Integrated Amp For Nautilus 802's - Recommendations Please
I have a pair of B&W Nautilus 802's which I will be buried with. I love their sound - but they have been driven with expensive gear and I just don't have the room, or budget anymore. I started...

Re: Ground loop hum eliminated.............. the expensive way!
Strange you're not having the issue on the McIntosh unit and are on the Marantz because they're both Marantz units. Albeit the McIntosh has had some "special treatment" that adds $$ to it.
You... -

Interesting that you call this the expensive way. Because you're almost right - there are more expensive ways - like highly expensive power regenerators.
The cheaper, and easier way to fix is to... -

Re: MQA Discussion
If you're referring to Hi-Rez beating out MQA, then sure, it's a possibility. The other issue is that this is bad for Tidal and HDTracks as this is both of those sites combined into one.
Also, no... -

Re: MQA Discussion
No such thing. If you're running Tidal on an app (via an iPhone/iPad/Galaxy/Android device), then you can't exactly plug in a USB DAC. The driver's won't work that way. So you're back to running...

Consider the topic. You're comparing the performance of X to Y. So if you say, "I have X DAC and I auditioned Y DAC. I found Y DAC to not be superior to X DAC, then logic seems to dictate that Y it...

Re: MQA Discussion
Honestly, I'm just happy you've found your DAC -- The Rossini is by far the best bang for the buck in the market at about $17K (without the clock).
Happy Holidays ;)
