Hi joeinid - I think I recognize you from other forums. I've owned both the Atlantic Plus and the Golden Atlantic. If budget is a concern then go for the regular Atlantic. You won't be disappointed....

Give it a try with upsampling to DSD256! See if you like the results with something like Roon, HQPlayer or JRiver. I spent a week (evenings) experimenting with Roon + HQPlayer upsampling to DSD256...
