Jock, did you have the X1 before the D1?

Trying to remember. Was it better sub integration with the D1?

    Re: Raidho X1 Review

Its no real surprise that the reviewer finds the Raidho tweeter superior to domes used by competitors. Owners of Raidho speakers have known and experienced this for ages. What however was a surprise was the reviewer preference for heavy sound anchor stands. Hmmm.

Diamond drivers? Ceramic drivers? I think that half the magic is the ribbon tweeter that weighs less than one gram? Talk about value add...same tweeter in up and down the D series...same tweeter in the X1. What a bargain the X1 is!

    Hi Le Roy,

I totally agree with you. The Raidho tweeter is phenomenal. I've yet to hear one I prefer to it. And I love the fact that every Raidho gets the same high quality ribbon tweeter.

How is your Austin system doing? Do you have it totally dialed in yet? Or are you up North right now. Either way, audio bliss. Hope all is well with you.

    All the best,
    Ken

I believe the CX.1 and D's only have the tweeter where the diaphragm weighs 0.02 grams where the CX and X series the tweeter diaphragm is 0.03 grams. I read the Scansonics have the 0.03 gram one also

I started with the D1s, then went to the D3s and ultimately to D5s. But then I wanted a second system and got the X1s and didn't like the sub integration so went back to the D1s which integrate great. But now don't use a sub at all. Go figure.

    Hi Jock,

Thanks for posting the link to the X-1 review. The D1 is such a great speaker, I'm not surprised that you run it without the sub. It really delivers a surprising amount of bass. How is your D'Ag/D5 system running? Are you happy with everything?

    Best,
    Ken
