    Raidho - So now what?

Raidho was sold to Dantax Radio (https://dantaxradio.dk) in 2009. Now, effective June 30, 2017, Lars Kristensen and and chief Raidho designer Michael Borrensen are out at Raidho. So now what? A new speaker brand from Lars & Michael to go along with Aavik and Ansuz?

The bigger question, what now becomes of Raidho? They have brought in an experienced designer to replace Michael Borrensen with Mr. Peter Larsen (formerly of KEF, JBL fame). And, they have already hired a terrific sales guy to replace Lars, Mr. Rune Skov (below).

I can tell you from personal experience, that the CTO of Dantax, Mr. Peter Jensen is a wonderful man and was the former owner of Scanspeak (yes, THAT Scanspeak - biggest driver manufacturer in the world).

Regardless, we wish the new owners of Raidho and Lars and Michael the best of luck in their future endeavors.

Challenging times for those dealers who just ordered expensive inventory. Does that also mean that Raidho speakers will, in future, no longer use Ansuz internal wiring?

Not to surprising when the manufacturer sells to dealers for 70 off plus shipping and import fees. Raidho makes a very good speaker but when they have to discount like that, you know they were WAY over priced to begin with.

    Raidho - So now what?

A point of clarification. I have been in communication with Peter Jensen of Raidho over the last couple of days. He wanted me to clarify that the purchase of Raidho by Dantax actually took place in 2009. Lars and Michael are no longer with Raidho as of June 30th (2017).

Very surprised there wasn't a no-compete clause in the sale contract..

Not difficult if they are serious about it , Alon himself did a fantastic job fixing Mk1 bass issues with the Mk2 's ..

Re: Raidho - So now what?

Alon did a fantastic job with S3 for eg, the mk2 bass improvements are significant over Mk1's, same when they went to the new M series ..

I found the the S3 Mk1 bass a weak spot, the speaker smooth and articulate, But lacking in weight and dynamics, the MK2 is a major step forward ..

    Regards
