Lumin L2 not grouping album songs in Lumin App
I've just purchased a new Lumin L2, as a server for my Lumin X1.
However for some of the albums, the songs are scattered as individual songs and no longer grouped as one album. It is quite annoying as you can guess.
This was not the case when I was using MinimSever through my Synology NAS.
Wondering if you had the same issue and if you found a solution to this?
Thanks

Re: Lumin L2 not grouping album songs in Lumin App
Welcome! Don't have the same issue but how are the scattered songs tagged? Have you tried downloading and using something like MP3 Tag (which is free)? Are these part of an album where there are multiple or guest artists (to a main artist)?
Main System - Lumin U2, Modwright LS36.5 DM Preamp, VTV Purifi 1ET-7040SA with tube buffer, EMM Labs DAC 2X (ver. 2), Torus RM-20, Thiel CS 3.7s, 2 Rel S/812 subs
Back-up 1 - Premium Audio mini Gan Amp, Oppo 103D, 2 Richard Gray cond, Selah SA-2s, Sumiko S5 sub, Teac UD-503 DAC, Carver (modded) C-9
Back-up 2 - Onkyo TX-NR797, Panasonic DP-UB820, Vansevers cond, B&W P6s, PowerSoundAudio S1500 sub

Re: Lumin L2 not grouping album songs in Lumin App
Hi Phil A
Thanks for you reply.
Yes I have re-taged the album with Mp3Tag but it didn't help.
Indeed these are part of an album where there are multiple artists. However I didn't fill the "main artist" field in Mp3Tag. But I have selected the "Compilation" option. Could this be the cause?

Problem solved. You have to speicifical tag Various Artists for compilations with multiple artists. This was not the case with MinimServer.
And by the way, I can confirm that the L2 is fantastic, it improved the sounds stage in my system!

Re: Lumin L2 not grouping album songs in Lumin App
I am still having trouble with the metadata with my Lumin L2. Now half of the album cover images of my library have suddenly disappeared from the Lumin app. However when playing a song from an album, the cover image appears in the upper left.
As anyone experienced this issue? I would tend to think that the L2 sever really has problems about handling metadata, because I didn't have these issues with MinimServer.
Peter, is there a chance you help out ?

Do you have the folder.jpg artwork inside the album folders?

Re: Lumin L2 not grouping album songs in Lumin App
1. Please reserve an IP address for the L2 in the router DHCP reservation table.
2. Reboot L2.
3. In Lumin app About L2, Reset Database. Wait for it to complete scanning.
4. Kill Lumin app, relaunch it, and reload the L2.Peter Lie

Re: Lumin L2 not grouping album songs in Lumin App
Hi Peter,
Many thanks, I will try the procedure later this week.
However, I have deleted the whole library and copied back, and it seems to work now.
