    Daemon by Jeff Rowland

    Hi all,

I'm currently putting together a system and I decided to go seperate pre/power.
I've always been a fan of integrated but decided I wanted to try seperates.

Anyways was talking to my dealer and he threw in a curveball.

The daemon integrated. It looks an absolute powerhouse of an amp (2500w into 4) beautifully finished with a lovely front touch screen among a whole host of other features.

I see it has been shown at a few Hi-Fi shows.

Anyone had a chance to hear it? Something like this could seriously tempt me to forego my original plan and go for a super all in one.

Wow. I might be interested as well. Do you know how much it costs?

Hi Keith, Im not 100% sure but beleive its around the $38k usd mark.

Considering all thats inside it could save some serious dough on cables/components etc

How unfortunate I am after a new monster SS amp, but the price on this one is a little too monstrous for me. Go and buy them, I will be sitting here turning green, wishing I studied a little harder at school

    No worries. Plenty of options

What other amps have you been looking at?

Well, I actually need a power amplifier, not an integrated. But given what I am planning to use it for (to run the bass units in an active 4-way speaker), I would benefit from a volume control. Other amps I have been looking at:

    - Vitus RI-100 and RS-100
    - Boulder 1050
    - Audia Flight Strumento No. 4
    - Gryphon (can't remember the model name!)

At the moment I am thinking of going for the Boulder. I have always wanted one.

I don't have experience with any of those units. Boulder build quality looks amazing though.

(Sorry got my threads mixed up)

    Cheers

I think Bob was referring to the Ayre gear. Not sure where that came from in this thread.

I'd love to hear that Rowland integrated in my system, just for fun. Isn't it Class D, or their version of it?
