Joe Stromick
I just received word that Joe Stromick, owner of JS Audio in Bethesda Maryland passed away on Feb 10th, 2018. I don't know the details of his passing.
Joe was my Wilson, Boulder and DCS dealer, and had a hell of a sense of humor. He loved life, and was a great guy that I will sorely miss.
I thought I'd share the news of his passing here for those who might not have heard. We'll miss you Joe!

Re: Joe Stromick
Joe didn't have much for family after his mother's death several years ago. He was a confirmed bachelor. Still, he was vibrant and full of life and this does come as a shock.
Here's the notice that was sent out to everyone that's been part of JS Audio through the years:
With great sadness, we regret to informyou that Joe Stromick passed awayon February 10th, 2018.
Joe cared deeply about the customers and manufacturers that became instrumentalrelationships throughout his life. We have alllost a great friend who will always be inour hearts and memories.

Re: Joe Stromick
He was actually a bit younger than that. I think it's all those trips to Hawaii and too much sun that made him look a bit older than he was.
Joe had had a way about being candid that was brutally honest and funny. I've known him for about 8 years now I think give or take a year. I always respected his opinion about audio gear. I recall him immediately detecting that a set a Wilson's were wired out of phase when I was coming in to demo them. It would have taken me a couple of minutes or more, but he could tell right away. So he did have a good set of ears on him.
I will miss him. He was a good man who lived life to its fullest. RIP Joe.

Re: Joe Stromick
Joe was a loyal and exceptional Wilson Audio dealer for many years. His events set a standard for what a small store could do to make everyone feel welcome and to generate excitement. Joe's customers were also his best friends. We are devastated here in Utah. It's been a very tough few days.

Re: Joe Stromick
I auditioned the ARC Reference 10 and Reference 6 preamps at JS Audio. A wonderful store with beautiful gear. The listening rooms were amazing. I never had the pleasure of meeting the owner. Rest In Peace, Joe.
