C7 power cable for Blu-ray player?
I need to upgrade a power cable for my Onkyo BD-SP809 Blu-ray player, I still use the original throw-away cable, that's type C7, non-polarized:
I don't want to spend more than $150 USD for Blu-ray player cable, hopefully even less if possible. The shorter, the better, around 1 meter or less if possible. And I must choose between those brands available to me.
Can I get a noticeable improvement in audio/video quality with $100-150 C7 power cable?
Do you have experience with C7 type of cable?
If your answer to both questions is YES, please recommend some.
Searching only among the brands and prices which I can get, I've found:
VooDoo Mojo

AudioQuest NRG-1 and NRG-1.5

Anyone familiar with these? AudioQuests got very positive comments on Audiogon. Any other?
THANKS!

Re: C7 power cable for Blu-ray player
I use a Shunyata venom ($150) on my bluray player. My player accepts standard 15A connections. But I noticed Shunyata now makes a C7 adapter. It puts the cost over your budget - right around 200 - but I really like what what the Venom did for my player...and more so on my TV.

Furutech bulk wire, cut to your length, Furutech C7 plug and away you go!
I've used Furutech C7 in the past, good stuff.

Re: C7 power cable for Blu-ray player
Thanks guys, I can buy here in Croatia FURUTECH G-320Ag-18F8EU for $130:

What you think?
But it's too long. Buying bulk wire in desired length + plugs would be great if I would know how to assemble it myself... but since I don't, that complicates things.

Shunyata Venom is a good and not too pricey option, another good one but double the price is WyWires Platinum Power.

Re: C7 power cable for Blu-ray player
Thanks, we have distributors in Croatia for Shunyata, Nordost, Furutech, AudioQuest and VooDoo. All five have very similiarly priced entry-level power cables. But which one to buy? I have no posibility to try them first.
What about Pangea? http://www.audioadvisor.com/prodinfo...mber=PGAC14XL7

You should ask your dealer to bring the CH stuff he wants to sell you for home audition in your system. IMO there is no way to tell what will sound better in your system.
